Mortholmen – where the rough Northern Sea meets tales of old and unique experiences.

Rough. Powerful. Authentic.

Mortholmen is contrasts – it is raw nature. The building has survived the strong forces of the Northern Sea. It has stood firmly as big waves has crashed over the island, and it has witnessed the most beautiful sunsets you can ever imagine. This place is also the backdrop for my first encounters with the powers, dangers and beauties of the sea. It’s the start for what has led up to the adventures documented on the TV-show Deadliest Catch. Fishing became my life’s calling. Just as it was for my ancestors.

Mortholmen is a part of my history. But more importantly, it is a unique part of the Norwegian fishing history. This building has become one of my greatest passions. Before taking on this project, I could never have foreseen all the adventures and surprises it would bring. After going through extensive restoration these recent years, Mortholmen is now ready ti whisper tales from a bygone era, and become an arena where new memories and stories can be created.
